Hollywood's Gift To Princess Elizabeth

Rec. 10 p.m. LONDON, Nov. 26. The American comedian, Bob Hope, wisecracked with his Majesty when, at the end of the command performance, he handed to Princess Margaret an album of signed photographs of Hollywood stars—a wedding gift for Princess Elizabeth. “Is Bing in it?" asked the King. “Yes, sir,” said Hope. “ He’s put three crosses. You see. sir, he can’t write.”

The performance, which was in aid of the Cinematograph Trade Benevolent Fund, raised over £25,000. King Michael sat .between the Queen and Princess Margaret.
