TWELVE PEOPLE INJURED
ACCIDENT NEAR NEWCASTLE Rec. 11 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 26. When the three last carriages ol :he speeding Kempsey mail left the 'ails near Adamstown shortly before noon to-day, 12 passengers were injured. Six were rushed to the Newcastle Hospital and the> others were treated for minor injuries, mainly cuts and bruises. None is in a serious condition. . , nA The train, which carried 180 passengers, was switched for no explained reason, on to a relief coal line. It had barely made the narrow curve from the main line when the rear carriages left the track and ploughed through the permanent way. Passengers and luggage were thrown in heaps.
