CARNIVAL AT SHOWGROUNDS

On Saturday, beginning at 10.30 a.m., the North End Citizens’ Association will stage a carnival. The North Otago Highland Pipe Band and Oamaru Garrison Band will be in attendance, and included in the programme are marching displays, athletic and motor cycle events, and a fancy dress display. A ceremony of welcome to the Mayor, Mr M. F. E. Cooney, and councillors will .be held, and the Mayor wil: officially open the carnival.
