MARIONETTE THEATRE

To-night the Goodwin Marionette Theatre will open a two-night season in the Opera House, when “ The Reluctant Dragon ” and “ The Tempest ” will be shown. During the war the company gave 50 performances to 20,000 members of the army, navy, and air force and hospitals in the Auckland district over a period of two years. During this year the company toured the Auckland district. for. the; ne.Wly-formed Community Art Service, a branch of Adult Education Oh this tour it has given 49 performances of "The Tempest.” The theatre is now undertaking a tour of the South Island with the Marionettes. Box plans are at Begg’s, and admission prices are advertised in to-day’s issue.
