ROYAL WEDDING SHOES

The style of shoe worn by the bridesmaids at the Royal wedding is shown at top. They were ivory satin ankle-strap sandals with narrow interlaced sat stripping, piped with silver kid, and fitted with buckles studded with small pearls. Bottom left: The goingaway shoe worn by Princess Elizabeth. Made in elasticised mushroom-beige suede. They are a step-in shoe with short outside

counter, sweeping round with a high-front appearance, leaving the outside open. The front part of the shoe is finely perforated. Right: The wedding shoes worn by Princess Elizabeth. Ivory Duchesse satin self-lined sandals, they are in one piece, embracing the waist of the foot, with reverse folds on the high instep strap and across the front. These draped sandals wrap the foot, and the open toe, back and side effect, is finished off with a silver buckle studded with small pearls.
