OBITUARY

MAJOR G. W. MASSINGHAM P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 22. The death has occurred of Major Graham William Massingham, M.C., aged 63, a former vice-president of the Otago Employers’ Association and for some years secretary of the Associated Chambers of Commerce.

Major Massingham, who was born in England, was trained as an electrical engineer and an analytical chemist. He spent several years in Canada and the United States before coming to New Zealand in 1924. He was associated with Ford Motors in the Dominion, and was manager of the Dunedin branch for three years. Major Massingham served with the Imperial forces in the First World War, in France, Russia, and Mesopotamia. He was at one time commander of the Second Battalion, Otago Regiment.
