DEFENCE RIFLES
The Oamaru Defence Rifle Club held its first championship shoots of the season on Saturday, when shots were fired from 300 and 500 yards. There was a light north-east wind, with changing light. Leading scores were:—J. Gibson, 47, 47—94; A. G. Allan, 32, 47—90; W. Falloon, 44, 46—90; R. L. McLatchie, 45, 44—89; W G. Smith, 43. 46—89; W. Gibson, 44, 44—88; L. W. Neill, 43, 45—88.
