SALE IN SYDNEY

FISH FROM NEW ZEALAND FEDERAL UNION SEEKS BAN To obtain choice fish at more reasonable rates Sydney wholesalers are importing supplies from New Zealand. Merchants say that the course .has been forced on them because choice

varieties are not available at the fish markets. The former New Zealand minesweeper, Wakakura, is engaged exclusively in the trade. Allegations are that schnapper, sole and flounder and other choice fish are unobtainable at Sydney markets because these varieties are retained by the Government providoring section. The secretary of the United Fishermen's League. Mr J. Facey, says that professional fishermen will ask for

heavy duty on New Zealand fish and will also try to get the watersiders to declare the fish black.
