FULL COURT HEARING
TRADING BANKS’ CHALLENGE INJUNCTION APPLICATIONS ADJOURNED Rec. 11 p.m. SYDNEY, Nov. 21. By agreement between the parties, the challenge by the trading banks to the Banking Bill will be referred to a full Bench of the High Court. By consent, Mr Justice Dixon in the High Court to-day adjourned applications by the trading banks for an interim injunction until the Bill had received Royal Assent. The Bill will not be submitted for Royal Assent before next Thursday. To-day counsel for the banks announced that the parties had agreed to the netv proceedings, and asked that no motions be made on the present order for injunctions. The parties would refer the matter to a full Bench of the High Court and would seek a hearing before the Christmas vacation. The agreement submitted to the court to-day said that the Commonwealth : Government had undertaken that operative clauses of the Bill would not be put into effect for at least four days after the Bill had received royal consent.
