THE MESSIAH

The cast for Handel’s " Messiah,” which will be performed on December 9 by the Dunedin Choral Society under the direction of Mr Charles F. Collins, will include new soloists. Miss Joyce Izett (sopranq) and Mr G. Colledge (baritone) are from Wellington, and are both well known for their work in oratorio in that city. Mr Allan Botting, of Dunedin, should be heard to advantage in the tenor recitatives and solos. The choir will again be combined with the Dunedin String Group of the National Orchestra and the 4YA Concert Orchestra. Mrs A. Manning will assist at the piano and Mr Douglas J. Palmer will accompany the soloists and choir at the organ.
