BARKING DOGS
Sir,—There recently appeared in the Daily Times a letter with ' regard to a threat to poison a dog’ because of its barking at night. When I hear a dog barking during the night my feeiing, and it is a strong one, is that I should like to poison, or at least punish, the owner of the dog—not the dog itself. The requirements of a dog are simple—a decent place to sleep in, sufficient food and exercise, and some human companionship Given these, a dog does not bark at night, certainly not for long. A dog, unlike ourselves, does not complain without cause, and an owner, or anyone else, should consider this before he punishes the dog.—l am, etc., : , - A Friend of the Dogi
