DUNEDIN MALE CHOIR

The Royal Dunedin Male Choir will present its Christmas concert on December 1, under the baton of Ernest Drake The choir will be almost at full strength and the programme is a varied one “ Sigh No More. Ladies,” a hymn by Rimington, and two Roberton numbers afford opportunity for quiet interpretative treatment. “ Cottage Wee," in which Ashley Aitcheson takes the solo and the “ Star of Bethlehem,” with Aubrey Clarke as soloist, indicate the seasonal spirit of the programme. The choir soloists are Bryan Drake (baritone) and Bert Romeril (tenor). Also assisting the choir will be an instrumental trio by Mrs Drake, Ethel Wallace and Dorothy Wallace, and Misses Bertha Rawlinson (contralto) and Jean Keen (soprano).
