BAND VISITS HOSPITAL

Under the direction of Mr O. W. Stokes, a banjo band and concert party, with Mrs D. Barkman at the piano, entertained the patients at the Wakarl Hospital on Monday evening. The programme included vocal duets by the Misses KirkBurnnand, songs by Mr I. Collins, piano solos by Mrs D. Barkman, banjo solos by Mr W. Buckland, duets by Messrs O. W. Stokes and J. Pickard, banjo duets by Messrs O. W. Stokes and E. Pitts, a ventriloquial item by Mr H. Wootten, and popular numbers by the band. The party was introduced by the agent of the Patients’, and Prisoners’ Aid Society, Mr A. Steven, and at the close thanks were expressed by one of the patients.
