REVIVAL OF FASCISM
SUPPRESSION DEMANDED COMMUNIST-INSPIRED ITALIAN RIOTS Rec. 8 p.rti. ROME, Nov. 16. The Italian Government provided a special aircraft to fly Signor Di Vittorio, Communist trade union leader, to Apulia, in South-eastern Italy, where he undertook to stop fresh outbreaks of violence. Communist mobs during the week-end stormed the Right-Wing Party offices, burned newspapers, attacked police stations, and stopped trains and buses in 15 cities from Lombardy to the heel of Italy. Communists everywhere demanded the suppression of the alleged revival of Fascism under the guise of the newlyformed Italian Social Movement. The similarity of the methods adopted by the Communists and Left Wing Socialists suggests that the tactics are inspired centrally. Government supporters believe that these tactics are a new phase of the Left Wing campaign to force the inclusion of Communists and Socialists into the Cabinet before the . spring elections.
