SCOTTISH SOCIETY

The monthly social and dance of the Scottish Society of Dunedin was held on Saturday in the Crawford Lounge, a large number of members and friends being present. The president, Mr J, W. Moody, occupied the chair, and referred to the. annual children's night, to be held in the near future. The vice-president, Mr J. L. Thomson, moved a vote of thanks to the performers. Items were given by Mrs Flawn, Mrs Catchpole and Mr L. Powell, a sword dance by Misses M. Callaghan and M. Weir, and a Highland fling by Misses D. Taylor and L. McPate, the piper being Mr M. Morrison. The remainder of the evening was spent in oldtime dancing, Mr C. E. Brown being the M.
