Good Scores Obtained
The Oamaru Defence Rifle Club held its weekly shoot on the Federal range on Saturday at 500 and 600 yards. Some good scores were obtained in spite of the adverse light conditions. Scores: —J. Gibson, 45—49—94; H. Boyer, 48—43—91; L. Neill, 47—43—90; R. McLatchie, 45—43 88; G. Allan, 47—39—86; W. Fallon, 40—45—85; H. Willett, 43—41—84; R. Hay, 40—41—81; I. Swinard, 43—35—78; A. Hall, 31—36—67; E. Gilchrist. 35—31—66; W. Halkett, 21—36—57. A Handicap Draw Sweepstake was won by G. Allan and H. Boyer, 192, with H. Willett and R. Hay, 191, and J. Gibson and R. McLatchie, 191 (equal) second. The cluj> championship shooting will be opened next Saturday by firing the first of the series matches.
