rjpo THE ELECTORS OF OAMARU. During the past 16J years it has been my pleasure and privilege to serve the people of Oamaru as a member of the Borough Council. AGAIN I OFFER MY SERVICES, and if elected will, as in the past, give of my best for the benefit of all sections of the community and the advancement and prosperity of our town. As a departmental chairman for 14J years (2 years Gardens and Reserves, 12J years Works), I feel I can claim to have taken a deep interest in all deliberations and my decisions given after considered judgment. It-has always been my policy wherever possible to adopt the most economical and efficient methods of carrying out the work of the Borough. In order that the money may be used to the best advantage, I consider it very necessary when possible to bring our plant up to present-day modern standard, thus enabling our staff to carry out the work in shorter time and more efficiently. Tlie following matters in my opinion will require careful consideration by the incoming Council:— 1. The extension of the Borough boundaries, together with careful town planning; and also extension of all services. 2. Storm water flooding at the North End. 3. Improved water necessary reticulation where ALEX. WILSON. BOROUGH ELECTION. 1., A. J. G. ("DICK”) PARK, offer my services to my fellow-citizens as a candidate for the BOROUGH COUNCIL If elected. I believe I would make the Council more representative of a true cross section of the community. I would also be one of the younger group, willing to work and to make myself thoroughly conversant with Borough affairs. 1 am particularly interested in the development of facilities for sport and games, as I believe these are most important for the health and character of our citizens. I am heartily in favour of good town planning, with expert assistance. In general, I am keen for as much progress as we can have within the bounds of sound finance. As there are many strong reasons against any further raising of the rates, I warmly favour the proposal to seek permission for further extension of the Borough loan. • I would appreciate your support on Wednesday, and if elected would serve Oamaru faithfully at all times. JgOROUGH ELECTIONS. I RESPECTFULLY SOLICIT THE SUPPORT OF THE CITIZENS OF OAMARU at the forthcoming Municipal Elections. , I stand for a sane, sound and prudent administration of the Borough affairs, always remembering the vital interests of the ratepayers. I believe in equal rights for all; special privileges for none. I stand for progress. I am not a member of any political party whatever. I stand firm for the rights of every citizen regardless of class, colour, race or creed.
