The Mayor. Mr J. C. Kirkness, yesterday, received the following letter from the. captain of H.M.N.Z.S. Arbutus, Lieutenant-commander J. F. A. O’Neill, D.S.O.:—"On behalf of the officers and the ship’s company, I wish to thank you for making our visit to your town so enjoyable, and would like you to convey our thanks to the citizens.”
