NOTED PREACHER
• VISITOR TO DUNEDIN After having served as chairman of the Baptist World Alliance which met recently in Copenhagen, Denmark, the Rev. C. J, Tinsley, of Australia, who arrived in Dunedin last night, has come to New Zealand at the invitation of the New Zealand Baptist Union to address its Assembly and visit the main centres. Mr Tinsley, who for 44 years has ministered at Stanmore, Sydney, is a dynamic speaker and is well known as a lecturer and preacher in Australia, America arid Great Britain. The Baptist World Alliance meets at ir-
regular intervals at different venues and is attended by representatives from all nations. The last meetings were in July and Mr Tinsley, who is a vice-president of the Alliance, brings a great story of the vitality and endurance of the European church during the recent years of war and its after- \ math. Mr Tinsley will address four public meetings while in Dunedin, all in the Hanover street Baptist Church. The Sunday afternoon meeting is for men only.
