GOVERNMENT ACQUISITION

POSSIBLE Special Correspondent. WELLINGTON, Nov. 12. The taking over of hospital ambulance services by the Government and their incorporation direct into the social security system has been mooted for some time. Reference made at the twentieth anniversary celebration of the Wellington Free Ambulance to possible Government action were made against a background of discussions between the ambulance authorities and the Government. The Government already subsidises ambulance services heavily.
