Higher Prices for Restaurant Meals
P.A. WELLINGTON, Nov. 13. The Price Tribunal authorised an increased price for meals from to-mor-row,, the secretary of the Wellington Restaurant and Grillroom Proprietors’ Association, Mr J. K. Purdie, announced to-day. In the main, the prices of meals will be increased by 3d and cooked oyster dishes by 6d. Charges for extras have also been increased. The new cost for a threecourse meal will be 2s 3d. Permission is given to charge an additional 6d for meals served on Sundays and public holidays or before 7 a.m. or after 10 p.m. any day.
