FALSE PRETENCES

INVERCARGILL MAN FOUND GUILTY P.A. NEW PLYMOUTH, Nov. 13. The jury in the Supreme Court to-day found Steward Coyle, married, of Invercargill, guilty on two charges of false pretences involving £650. The basis of the charges was obtaining money from an Opunake tailor on the representation that it was required to release bonded goods from the Customs and that materials to the amount advanced would be supplied. Coyle was remanded by Mr Justice Fair for sentence.
