Only his wife, mother and two intimate friends knew of his plans, but the morning paper photographers were able to obtain'pictures of him on board the plane shortly before it left. A message from Chicago states that Jack Kramer to-day turned professional for a yearly salary of 50,000 dollars, which is the largest contract ever offered a tennis star Kramer will engage Bobby Riggs, national professional champion, in a tour opening at Madison Square Garden, New York, on December 26 They will play between 50 and 60 matches on the tour, which'is sponsored by the promoter Jack Harris, of Chicago. The tour will include matches in South Africa.
