LONDON, Nov. 12.

A hal£ stamp—a Is 1855 green of New Zealand—which was damaged in a blitz which destroyed the London vault where it was kept, was sold at a London auction to-day for £SO. • The stamps offered at the sale, which was of the collection of Mr C. Williams, of Northwood, Middlesex, included first-issue stamps originally printed in London. A copy of the first Id carmine of 1855 brought £lB5, a Is yellow and green of 1855 brought £95, and a horizontal strip of five Id red stamps, issued • in New Zealand in 1855, brought £l3O.
