SECRET DISPERSAL

JAPANESE WAR MUNITIONS

BASIS OF CRIPPLING BLACK MARKET

Rec. 11 p.m. TOKIO, Nov. 12. The secret dispersal of £500,000.000 of war goods accumulated during the war in the Osaka arsenal has been uncovered by Japanese public procurators on an instruction from General MacArthur’s Headquarters. The. proceeds, which were used to finance a “ hidden Government,” behind the Kuromaku (Black Curtain), is said to be the genesis of the crippling black market in the Osaka area. One hundred high-ranking Japanese are believed to be involved. The procurators estimate that one.-third of the goods stored in the arsenal has been sold via black market, and the rest hidden in various plants and warehouses.
