TRAFFIC OFFENCES

FINES INFLICTED A list of traffic offences was dealt with bv Mr G. J. Errington, J.P., and Mr T. D. Jamieson, J.P., in the City Police Court Merry Barker, for driving without proner care, was fined £2, costs (IQs). For failing to .give way to the right, James Challis was fined £2,, COS J® and on charges of driving without proper care and making a false statement to the nollce Leslie John Hesford. who was represented bv Mr J. G. Warrington, was fined £2 and £3, with costs (10s) on each charge. C °Charlcs Gordon Jennison, for whom Mr F W Guest appeared, was fined 30s, and costs (10s), for not keeping to the left of the road, and Athol McKeag for not having a warrant of fitness, was fined 10s, and costs (10s). Chimney Fire Joseph Henry Turner was fined 10s, costs (10s), for allowing a chimney to catch fire.
