MASSED SERVICES

CHILDREN’S CENTENNIAL THANKSGIVING Approximately 6000 schiool children will attend two special* Centennial thanksgiving services to be held in the Town Hall on March 22. ; All primary and secondary schools in the city, whether public or private, will be represented at these services, the arrangements for which have been made by a committee drawn fgom the staffs of the participating schools and colleges. Before the morning service, which will be attended .by primary school children, the pupils will, mass at vantage points in the city and march through the streets to the Town Hall. The principal speaker at this service will be the Rev. R. Sw Watson, and the singing will be led 'by students of the Dunedin Training College. The organist, Dr V. E. Gal\pay, will be at the organ and the ocnjiuctor will be Mr G. E. Wilkinson. For the afternoon service the speaker will be the Rev. O. Tj Baragwanath. Mr C. R. Spackman will be at the organ and a choir of secondary school pupils will lead the singing. It is expected that his Worship the Mayor will speak at both services.
