SPRINT CHAMPIONSHIP
Addington Card for To-morrow HIGHLAND FLING BRACKET The New Zealand Trotting Cup meeting will be continued to-morrow, which is Show Day in Christchurch, and the fields carry every promise of producing racing up to the standard of the two previous days. The principal event for square-gaited trotters will be the Dominion Handicap, for which the brilliant and consistent Betty Maxegin will no doubt be favourite. The high-class pacers are catered for by the Hornby Handicap and the Premier Sprint Championship, for which Emulous has been accepted, but he may not be quite at his best as a result of being eased up on account of an injury. The following may be among the favourites:— 12.2 : Electric Handicap. —Miranda Scott, Darrington Hall, Stirling Castle. 12.47: Holmwood Handicap. —Jimmy Scott, Fairy Wings, Beverley Volo. 1.32: Australasian Handicap. —Mountain Hall, Scholarship, Johnnie Lawn. 2.17: Dominion Handicap. —Betty Maxegin, Rerewaka, Aerial Scott. 3.2 : Hornby Handicap. —Worthy Gold bracket, Maori Home, Maudeen. 3.47: Metropolitan Stakes. —Congo Song, Gay Piper, Demetrius. 4.32: Cashmere Handicap. —Free Fight, Despatch, Silverlight, 5.22: Premier Sprint Championship.— Highland Fling-Nyallo Scott bracket, Integrity, In the Mood.
