MANCHESTER UNITY
On Saturday night the Loyal Star of the North Lodge celebrated its eighteenth birthday. After a short time spent in dancing a mock wedding was held in which the following took part: N.G. Sis. Brady, P.G. Sis. Addison, Warden Sis. E. McLatchie, Sis. J. Patterson. N.G. Sis. Judge was the clergyman, and after the ceremony those present sat down to the wedding breakfast. The customary toast list was honoured, and the following gave items: P.G. Sis. F. M. Christie, P.G. Sis. E. Kidd, D.G.M. Bro. Dawson. Bro. G. Jamieson. N.G. Sis. Judge was in the chair at the fortnightly meeting of the Loyal Star of the North Lodge on Monday night. The Otago District reported progress in the 1000 membership campaign. N.G. Sis. Judge and P.S. Sis. Christie were appointed to represent the lodge at the Milton Lodge’s anniversary on November 20. An invitation was extended to members of the Past Grands' Lodge to be present at the annual meeting and installation of officers on December 8.
