ADMONITION FROM BENCH P.A. AUCKLAND, Nov. 12. “The business of making a living by fighting society never gets a person anywhere. The police always catch you, and the jury will convict if the evidence is clear.’’ said Mr Justice Callan when sentencing Bertram Morris, aged 39, and Hira Reihana, aged 28, to 12 months narn labour each for receiving stolen goons. The terms will be cumulative with sentences they are already serving. Both had escaped from prison and immediately plunged into the business for which they had been convicted, saic the judge. Both had formidable l.sis. Society, in protecting itself, had treated them fairly, his Honor said, and added that if they continued thenfutile fight against society they would be declared habitual criminals
