Favourite for Hornby Handicap

THIRD CARD AT ADDINGTON

As the result of his win in the Intermediate Sprint Handicap at Addington last Saturday, the Gold Bar horse Worthy Gold will no doubt be one of the most freely discussed runners in the Hornby Handicap on Friday. He won like a really good horse last Saturday, and on the opening day he showed brilliant speed to get third in the Empire Handicap after losing about half a furlong.

Worthy Gold is at the peak of his form and will soon be in some of the tighter classes. He will be bracketed with Belhall, Sprayman, Local Gold, and Bonnie Jack, and the bracket should make a strong appeal to the public. In the race for favouritism on the totalisator others likely to be prominent are Maori Home, Maudcen, and Ingle Belmer.
