MAGISTRATE’S COURT

The following police cases were heard before Mr J. D. Willis, S.M., in the Oamaru Magistrate's Court yesterday afternoon:— , , , James Barnabus Battersby pleaded guilty of being in possession of liquor in the vicinity of a dance hall when a dance was in progress. He was- fined £7 10s and costs (10s). The Transport Department (Inspector G. A. Ferguson) prosecuted in the following cases:—Richard Charles Cheyne, for driving without a driver's licence, was fined £lO with costs (10s). For exceednig 40 miles an hour, Edward William Cleary was fined £4 with costs (10s); and Stuart Ewing was fined £7 10s with costs (12s).

Reilly’s . Central Parking Station. Ltd., Dunedin, pleaded guilty to operating an unlicensed ancillary goods service and was fined £1 with costs (10s).
