SPECIAL TRAINS will leave Dunedin Railway Station at frequent intervals from 9.5 a.m. to 1.50 p.m. on Saturday, October 12, and 9.5 a.m. to 1.25 p.m. on Monday, October 14. Fare 1/8 Return. On Saturday, October 12, the usual Express from Invercargill will stop at Racecourse, and the usual Express leaving Dunedin at 4.40 p.m. for Invercargill will Stop at the Racecourse to pick up passengers for Balclutha and South thereof. On Monday, October 14, at 7 a.m. a SPECIAL TRAIN will run from Invercargill, stopping at usual stations, and return the same evening, leaving the Racecourse at about 5.40 p.m., so that Southland patrons can see the full day’s racing. Horses can be returned home by this train also. BUSES. The Dunedin City Corporation Buses will leave Cargill’s Monument from about 10.45 a.m. Fare 3/6 Return. Admission Charges; Lawn, 6/-; Ladies, 2/6. Outside, 1/6. Admission tickets are obtainable at Railway Station, Jacobs’, tobacconist, and Club’s office. The profit on each year’s racing will be devoted to Patriotic purposes for the duration of the war.
