PUBLIC NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that at a Special Meeting of the Waitaki County Council held on Friday, September 27. 1940. the following resolution was passed and will be submitted for confirmation as a Special Order at an Ordinary Meeting of the said Council, to be held oh FRIDAY, the 25th day of October. 1940, at the County -Council Chambers. Thames street, Qamanr at 11'o’clock in the forenoon:— r -v "The Waitaki County Council, piasuant to the provisions of the Local Bodies Loans Act. 1926, and its amendments. and the Rural Housing Act, 1939. DOTH HEREBY RESOLVE by way of. SPECIAL ORDER as follows; 1- THAT the Council raise from the State Advances Corporation of . New Zealand a loan of £IO.OOO or so much thereof as may be required for the purpose of making advances to farmers for the erection of dwellings under the Rural Housing Act. 1939, such loan to be called ‘The Rural Housing Loan No 1. 1940, £10,000.’ 1. THAT the Council repay halfyearly in reduction of the loan an amount equal to the sum of all amounts which are expressed, to be payable to the Council during the Half-year ending on each half-yearly date by the agreements entered into with the Council by the various farmers to whom the loan moneys are to be advanced 8. THAT interest at the rate of £3 per cent, on unpaid principal be paid by the Council calculated on the daily debtor balance of the Council in the accounts of the lender 4. THAT the security for the charges in respect of such loan shall be a special rate of onethirtieth of one penny in the pound on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value! of all rateable property in the County of Waitaki."
