ST. JOHN AMBULANCE
CADET DIVISIONS During recent months considerable progress has been made by the St, John Ambulance Brigade in the extension of the cadet organisation in the secondary schools. In Dunedin this work has been under the direction of Mr G. L. Ferguson, Corps Officer for Brigade Cadets, and classes have been held, examinations conducted, and certificates issued. This has been followed by the formation of cadet divisions at the Otago Boys’ High School, John McGlashan College, and King’s High School, while boys at the Christian Brothers’ School are now under instruction. Considerable progress has also been made at the Otago Girls' High School, where first aid instruction has been enthusiastically taken up. A large number of members of the St. John Ambulance have been called up for military duty, and it Is hoped that many of the senior bovs from the cadet divisions will be qualified to take up first aid work, ambulance transport, and other duties.
