SEARCH ABANDONED
MISSING OXFORD AIRCRAFT (Per United Press Association) WELLINGTON, Oct. 5. The air search for the Oxford aircraft and its crew of three, who were reported missing on Monday afternoon on a flight from Hobsonville to Ohakea, was abandoned at 7 p.m. on Saturday, according to an announcement made to-day by air headquarters, Wellington. Since Tuesday an extensive but unsuccessful search has been carried out by machines of the Royal New Zealand Air Force.
