GOOD TEMPLARY

The weekly. meeting of the Rescue Lodge, No. 1.05, was held, on Tuesdavevening, when the chief templar, Sis. Mrs McDonald, presided over a good attendance. Correspondence was received from the New Zealand Alliance, together with their annual report and petition forms for signatures. Members referred to the astounding Increase in the Dominion’s liquor bill and to the increase in the number of intoxicated motorists convicted and of the accidents caused by them. Reports presented showed that the work In the Juvenile Department was steadily improving, and that the absent members committee had been doing good Work. An interesting and enjovable programme was presented by Bros. W. J. McCurdy and G. lies.
