FILM OFFENDS NAZIS
OWN PROPAGANDA USED NEW YORK, Sept. 14. The German Embassy in Washington has threatened legal action against the producers of the March of Time unless parts of the film, “ Ramparts We Watch,’ am deleted. The producers, the owners of the journal Time, secured permission to use the Nazi terror film, “Baptism of Fire,” the Germans expecting excellent propaganda. When incorporated in “ Ramparts We Watch,” however, it becomes a stern indictment of Hitlerism. Members of the German Embassy were surprised and angered by the oreview of the film, but Time insists on the retention of the portions to which the Germans object.
