HOLY CROSS CHURCH
SALE OF WORK The annual sale of work of the Ladies’ Guild of Holy Cross Church. St. Hilda, was opened last night by the Mayor (Mr J. J. Marlow). There was a good gathering of parishioners and their friends, and excellent business was transacted on the various stalls, which are laden with useful goods. The following are the stallholders Work stall; Mesdames C., H. Grant and Lennox. Fancy stall: Misses Mee and Dunstan.' Produce: Mesdames Hutchings and Diehl. , , Sweets; Mesdames Glue. McKenzie, and Brent. ...h ■ ■ .... ’• , ' Children’s stall: Mesdames Cowle and Kiddie. 4 Klondyke; Mrs Pidduck and Mr Dunstan. Flower stall: Misses Dora Carpenter and Mabel Grant. . Cafeteria: Mesdames Cummings and McKay. Men’s stall: Vestrymen. Ice-cream stall: Stan Johnson and Spencer. Brent.. .: "<■'■■■;•. - ’i. Girls’ Club stall: Leaders and girls. - Darts: Senior boy's. : V A bright and attractive programme was presented by the pupils Of the Sunday School, who showed careful training by their teachers. ' This same programme will be repeated this evening.
