WEDDINGS

Parkhill—List St. James Presbyterian Church, Palmerston, was the scene on September 21 of the marriage of John Craig, youngest son of Mrs M. S. Parkhill, of Palmerston, and Dorothy Muriel, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs Robert List, of Eushey Park estate, Palmerston. The Rev. W. W. French was the officiating minister and Mr O. Austing. of Hampden, presided at the organ. The bride made a pleasing picture in a trained gown of cream taffeta with ruched bodice, long full sleeves and a bow forming a bustle. Her cream embroidered net veil fell softly from a coronet of arum lilies and orange blossoms, while arum lilies also formed her sheaf bouquet. The bridesmaids, Miss Irene Hall and Miss Marjorie Jones, were gowned in pink and lavender net respectively, and carried early Victorian posies in matching shades. Their shoulder-length veils were held in place with floral topknots. Valmai Coulson, niece of the bride, acted as train bearer, wearing a dainty frilled blue net frock ard carrying an early Victorian posy. The bridegroom was attended by his cousin, Mr Douglas Craig, of Enfield, as best man and Mr Athol McGregor.

The happy couple left later for the south, the bride wearing a rust costume with cream ruched blouse and black accessories.
