AMERICAN DEFENCE
SUPPLEMENTAL EXPENDITURE WASHINGTON, Sept. 26. (Received Sept. 27, at 8 p.m.) The House of Representatives unanimously approved and sent to the Senate the 1,470,000,000 dollars supplemental army and navy appropriation—the last of the 13.000. dollars defence expenditures voted this session. The Secretary for the Army (Mr H. L. Sti'mson) has awarded 2.936.000. dollars of contracts since July 1.
