SUNK BY RAIDER
A BRITISH FREIGHTER OFF TRINIDAD COAST NEW YORK, Sept. 25. The survivors of a British freighter have been landed at Barranquilla, Venezuela. They reported that a German raider sank the ship off Trinidad on September 3, after which the Germans machinegunned the lifeboats. The survivors drifted for a fortnight before they were picked up by a tanker.
