LAUDER GUN CLUB

The Lauder Gun Club held a successful shoot recently, competitors coming from as far as Owaka, Balclutha and Dunedin. A five-bird eye-opener was divided by J. Stiven, D. Campbell, D. R. Leith, R. McCammon, S. Hoskin, T. Burgess, W. S. Beattie. W. Mcßreen, L. Hayes, J. Patterson, W. Telford, S. Leask, J. Stuart and C. Webster, who all shot the possible. A £2O Open Handicap was divided by S. Hoskin, C. Drake. J. Patterson, G. Patterson and L. Hayes, who all broke the possible. The Club Championship was won by C. Wilson, who shot the only possible. The Bodkin Shield, which is for teams of six shooters, was won by South Otago, with 81 out of a possible of 90. A shoot for a £2 2s trophy presented by T. A. Clouston and second prize of £1 Is presented by Beattie Bros., in aid of the Air Force queen, was won by S. Leask, with J. Beattie second. Bodkin Shield. —South Otago (J. Stiven 15 W. Elliot 12, D.
