CRICKET
GASWORKS CLUB The annual meeting of the Gasworks Cricket Club was held on Wednesday evening. Mr D. Urquhart being in the chair. The election of officers resulted as follows:—President, Mr D. Urquhart; vicepresidents—members of the Gas Committee and Messrs F. Miller, E, Wood, L. McKechnle, W. Kirk, W. McKelvey, sen., A. Skeats, T. Holden, and D Gilmour; club captain. Mr J. Stewart; secretary and treasurer, Mr C. Crossan: committeeMessrs R. Bell, T. Urquhart, W. McCombie. H. Ashton, and S. Underwood; selector, Mr C. Crossan. It was decided to open the season on October 12.
