"QUIET WEDDING"
REPERTORY SOCIETY COMEDY The second presentation by the Dunedin Repertory Society of the bright and entertaining comedy "Quiet Wedding" in His Majesty's Theatre last night again proved highly acceptable to a large audience, which found much to its liking in the lively story of an excited family's preparations for the marriage of its youngest daughter. Under the direction of Miss Bessie Thomson the large cast handled the wide diversity of characterisations with skill and insight, their combined performances producing an entertainment that was full of colour, life, and movement. Mrs Dora McPherson was excellent as the slightly scatter-brained mother, and Miss Mary Jolly, as Janet, the bride, Mrs Katrina Speight, as the somewhat theatrical Aunt Mary, and Mrs Grace Douglas, were also responsible for entertaining presentations. In the male section of the cast Mr L. J. T. Ireland made a creditable father, and Mr T. A. Tarrant and Mr Roland Watson also handled their roles with considerable success
" Quiet Wedding" will be repeated again to-night and to-morrow night.
