Passing himself off as a member of the Air Force, Clarence Reginald Burt, aged 32. gained admittance to the Wigram Air Station, but when taken to the guard room his deception was discovered. Burt was charged to-day with being unlawfully on the station, and it was then revealed that he had passed himself off as a commissioned Air Force officer to gain admittance to the Union Jack Club. Last Tuesday Burt knocked on the door of a pilot's bedroom, and said he had been instructed to report for training. When accommodation had been arranged the deception was discovered. After warning Burt that he would be sent to gaol if there was any further trouble, the magistrate convicted, him and ordered him to come up for sentence in two years if called on.
