COST OF THE WAR
FURTHER CONTRIBUTIONS (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, Sept. 18 (Received SepL 19, at 7 p.m.) A Rift of £2OOO from the people of British Guiana towards the cost of aircraft production has been gratefully acknowledged by the Colonial Secretary. British Guiana has now contributed £44,550, The Netherlands Prime Minister and the Minister of Finance personally visited Mansion House to hand to the Lord Mayor £50,000 as a token ot admiration of “the splendid manner in which Londoner? are bearing the ordeal.”
