DIOCESAN SUNDAY SCHOOLS

TEACHERS’ ASSOCIATION The annual meeting of the Diocesan Sunday School Teachers’ Association was held on Wednesday. Bishop Fitchett presiding. The annual report stated, inter aha, that the annual examination had been held last November, but very few scholars had entered for it, and the results had not been altogether satisfactory, only four candidates having gained first-class honours. Ten gained second-class honours, and 26 passed the examination. The executive had decided that, owing to present conditions, no examination would be held this vear. The report was adopted. The following officers were elected;— President, the Rev. A. B. Pywell: vicepresidents—Dean Cruickshank, Archdeacon Button, and the Rev. W. A. Hamblett; secretary and treasurer. Miss E. M Blvth; auditor. Mr E. Bond. After discussion, it was thought inadvisable to hold the teachers’ festival this year, but to consider holding one next year.
