PATRIOTIC ENTERTAINMENT Tlie children ot the St. Leonards-Burkes district made their first big effort to assist the patriotic funds on Saturday, when they presented, in King George's Hall, St. Leonards, a variety entertainment of a high standard. Probably the most outoutstanding item was the “ Britannia ” tableau. Much credit is due to the producer, Miss Florence Gillies, of Dunedin. The funds benefited to the extent of over £l4.
