Returned Soldiers The Upper Waitaki Sub-branch of th« Returned Soldiers' Association held its annual reunion In Memorial I Hall on Saturday night, Mr A. Don presiding over a good attendance of members and visitors from Oamaru. The toasts honoured included "The King," "Absent Comrades," " New Zealand and " The Visitors." Mr Clarke, of Lake Waitaki, gave an entertainment of moving pictures depicting scenes taken during his travels round the world. Mr N. Colquhoun, president of the Oamaru R.S.A., addressed the gathering and expressed the thanks of the visitors for the evening's entertainment. Miniature Rifle Club The Miniature rifle shooting season has now ended, and at the club's annual social the following trophies were presented:—. B. S. Wells, champion; T. Sanders, runner* up; G. Cogger, handicap winner; W. Anderson, runner-up; R. H. Appleby Memorial Cup (three-man team)—T. Sanders, W. Anderson, and R. Harrison; most improved shdt, H. McLean; junior champion, W, Anderson.
